Ch5: A special starry night

Chapter 5: A special starry night.

Far away from Kodama town at Misora’s house. The popular singer had a major problem. At her room lying on her bed trying to figure some new lyrics for her song. She tries hard but nothing great came. A grey lyre shaped creature came out of her guitar. She was worried about her owner well being.

‘’ Misora. You been working hard for days. Why not taking a break? I’m sure Subaru would like your company. I got an idea. You and him should go shopping together at Roppondou hills. What do you say? ‘’

Misora answers to her proposition.

‘’ I know it would be fun there Harp but, I can’t. I need to find those Lyrics for my new song. I made a promise to Subaru then he would be the first one to hear. This song is special to me and I must work hard to make it perfect. ‘’

Then she hears the phone function on her star carrier.

‘’ A phone call? Who want to speak with me at this hours? ‘’

‘’ Let me see the identity of the caller. ‘’ Said Harp. The lyre shaped alien goes inside her owner star carrier. She reappears with a smile. ‘’ I think you should take the call. It’s Subaru. ‘’

It didn’t take a second for Misora to take her star carrier and activate the phone function. A screen with Subaru’s face appears.

‘’ Hi. What’s going on Subaru? ‘’

‘’ I’m here to help you with your song! ‘’ Said Subaru.

The girl was quite surprise to hear Subaru asking his assistance for helping her with her song although she never told him.

‘’ That’s funny. I don’t remember asking you to help. ‘’

‘’ Umm… You did ask. ‘’ Said nervously Subaru. His heart began to race. He fear then the whole helping thing could end up the same way when he was trying to help Luna but, Misora ain’t no tyrant. She knows him better than anyone else. He wanted to help people and what he said to her wasn’t some sick joke. To ease the boy. She accepts his offer.

‘’ Ok I need your assistance Subaru but not tonight. How about Vista point tomorrow at dusk. ‘’

‘’ At dusk but why? ‘’ Ask Subaru.

‘’ Because after that. Even if my song is finish or not. I want to see the starry sky together with you. Tomorrow night, the sky will be clear. I want to have a great moment with you by your side. ‘’ Answer the young singer. Subaru was lost in his mind and began to blush at the idea of spending one night gazing at the stars with the person he cares the most.

‘’ Subaru are you there? ‘’ Ask Misora.

The boy snaps out of his dream state.

‘’ Oh sorry. Yes tomorrow at Vista point. I be there. ‘’

‘’ Great! Then I be waiting for you. Bye! ‘’ Tell Misora.

‘’ Bye! ‘’ Said Subaru. He closes the phone function but didn’t escape Warrock commentary about the date he just plans together with Misora.

‘’ Yo kid! I hear you’re planning a lovely date with that musical girlfriend of yours. Don’t try to deny it. I hear and saw the whole scene. I wonder what would be the reaction if that prez girl sees you’re dating with Misora? ‘’

The boy reply.

‘’ Well Prez doesn’t have to come bothering us. I do have every right to be with Misora. When I helped Prez. She wasn’t satisfied. That just too bad. It’s now Misora’s turn and I won’t let Luna stand in my way. ’’ Subaru goes right to bed for some goodnight sleep. The next day at 6:00 pm. He was ready to go at Vista point. At the moment, Subaru exits his room. Warrock appear right in front of him.

‘’ What are you doing Warrock? You are now stopping me from seeing Misora this time. ‘’

‘’ No. I want to ask you if you are truly ready to go? ‘’ Ask The AM seijin.

‘’ Why? ‘’ Demand Subaru.

‘’ Well that prez girl is one of a kind. Whenever she truly mad. She emits some kind of negative wave and right now I was able to sense that same wave coming this way. ‘’ Told Warrock.

‘’ She’s coming here? ‘’ Ask Subaru.

‘’ Yeah and I was wondering what you’re going to do with your mother? I hope you do realize if you told her you’re going to Vista point with Misora. She might accidentally tell that to you know who. ‘’ Said Warrock.

Subaru thought carefully about any tricky ideas and took no second to found one.

The AM seijin enters his owner star carrier has Subaru exit his room toward the living room were his mom was watching her favorite show at the tv. At the moment she sees his son reaching the door. Akane asks him a question.

‘’ I am going to Roppondou hills doing some shopping with Misora. ‘’ Answer Geo.

Akane was always happy hearing Subaru saying he’s going on a date with a girl especially when this girl is Misora. She never met the singer in person but never told his son then sometimes she overheard them outside whenever they plan on going somewhere. She feels that her son has gain some maturity and encourage him to continue is relationship with Misora every now and then.

‘’ Ah I see. You’re going on a date at Roppondou hills with Misora. My son is finally growing up. I hope some day you’re going to present her. She seem to be a nice girl. ‘’

‘’ She really a wonderful person. Well I’m on my way so, later mom. ‘’ Tell Subaru and exit his house. Warrock who saw all the action from his owner star carrier was quite surprise how well Subaru perform his tricky plan.

‘’ Going shopping at Roppondou hills . That’s a great one Subaru. ‘’

‘’ At least that’s going to keep Prez away from us while she at Roppondou hills but in a way. I do feel guilty for that idea. I do hope she forgive me. ‘’ Said Subaru but the AM seijin knows well he’s not finish with Luna yet and tell him about his next move.

‘’ Well don’t think it all over yet kid. Denpa henkan into Rockman and wait until the plan work so you could go see your musical girlfriend safely. ‘’

Subaru follow Warrock advice and Denpa henkan into Rockman. He goes to the wave road watching the event from here. Has the AM seijin had predicted. Luna comes toward Subaru’s house with a darker mood display on her face.

‘’ That stupid Subaru. I let him have a cookies and he didn’t told me if it was tasty before he left and worse. When I try to call him. I could reach him. Who he was talking to? He did take a great amount of my time again. Well, he is not escaping the big lecture I have for him. He’s going down today! ‘’ She arrived at the entrance of Subaru’s house. The class president pushes the doorbell. Akane opens the door. To avoid showing her anger toward the boy. She completely change her dark mood into a cheerful one. ‘’ Hello miss Hoshikawa. Is Subaru here? ‘’

‘’ No, he is gone at Roppondou hills with Misora. ‘’ Answer Akane.

‘’ So he is with Misora at Roppondou hills. Ok then. I going to come see him tomorrow. Thanks. ‘’ Said Luna. At the moment Akane close the door. The class president mood change into a volcanic one. ‘’ Now I see who he was talking to. So Misora is about to make her move and take Subaru away from me. Well I’m not waiting for that bad egg tomorrow. I will catch up with them. ‘’ She use her star carrier to summon her two partners. 10 minutes later. Gonta and Kizamaro arrive and the class president give a briefing about the situation. The trio goes toward the bus stop. The bus arrive in time to send them to their destination without realizing it was a trap made by Subaru himself.

‘’ Well done Rockman. Now That the Prez is gone. The coast is now clear. Go to Vista point. Someone very important is waiting for you. ‘’ Told Warrock.

‘’ I had better go fast now. I hope I’m not late. I really don’t want to disappoint Misora. ‘’ Said Rockman. He goes straight at Vista point at light speed. Arriving at destination. The blue bomber change back into his original self. Subaru was quite surprise then his alien friend did help him out instead of making fun of him. Curious about his motive. He asks something to Warrock.

‘’ Hey Warrock! You usually make fun of me when I go somewhere with Misora. Why this time you’re helping me? ‘’

The alien give his answer.

‘’ You want to know why? Because I am very fond of seeing you and that musical girlfriend together. It a surprise to you then I said that kid? ‘’

‘’ Well I’m quite surprise you said me that but tell me why do you hate Prez that
much? ‘’ Demand Subaru and Warrock gave his reason to hate her.

‘’ Because she reminds me of Ophiuchus. ‘’

‘’ OPHIUCHUS!? ‘’ Reacted Subaru. Warrock continue the discussion.

‘’ Yeah Ophiuchus. When I was a soldier for the FM-king. She was known by the FM seijin for her beauty but for me, I do understand now what you humans say by the expression rose have thorn. She’s nasty, horrible, cruel and never gave any pity for weak people. It’s hard for me to express this but, I do like more Harp than that snake lady. That prez girl remind me too much of Ophiuchus whenever she’s bossy or mad. It’s as if she inherits Ophiuchus’s malice and that is why I don’t like her one bit. ‘’

Subaru was surprise then Warrock does encourage him to continue his relationship with the singer just like his mother do but more surprising. He does admit to the boy then he had feelings toward Harp despite their difference.

‘’ You know Warrock, despite how many time you said you’re allergic to womans. You do admit you like Harp. ‘’ Remark Geo.

‘’ Don’t start any sily rumor with me kid. You’re going to regret it. ‘’ Warn Warrock.

‘’ Whoah! I was teasing you that all. You’re always making fun of me when I am with Misora so I always wanted for a table change and see you take jokes instead. ‘’ Told Subaru. But deep inside the boy. Warrock may have not mature due to his barbaric attitude but does hint some feelings toward Harp despite the numbers of times he denies his relationship with the Fm seijin. Subaru turn his head to see if Misora had arrived. ‘’ We been having a long discussion and Misora haven’t came yet. Either we’re early or she’s late? ‘’

‘’ Kid you had better take you visualizer right now. ‘’ Warn suddenly Warrock.

At the moment Subaru put his special pair of glasses. He see in front of him, the face of a blond girl carrying a pink helmet with a heart insignia at the middle. Subaru fell down. The mysterious girl giggle a little and change into her original self.

‘’ I got you Subaru. ‘’ Said Misora.

Subaru kindly laugh with her.

‘’ Well you got me real good Misora. Using Harpnote to surprise me by putting yourself In front of me. That’s great strategy. ‘’

‘’ Well I call that a special appearance. ‘’ Said Misora.

Both kids began to laugh together then, Misora extend her arms to help Subaru get up and took a great look at the surrounding of Vista point.

‘’ You know. I got great memories of that place. ‘’

‘’ Which memories? ‘’ Ask Subaru.

‘’ About the first time we meet. I was a the observatory deck signing a song. During that time. You were looking for Warrock and you came at the deck. I did notice you. You were listening to it. When I ask you about your opinion. You said it was a great song and I was happy. ‘’ Answer Misora.

‘’ But the song was a sad one Misora. It was good bye mama if my memories serve me right? ‘’ Said Subaru.

‘’ Right. But I wasn’t alone in that big world for long. I got you now. The best thing after my mother. You comforted me several time Subaru. I treasure everything you said to me. By thinking about you. I gain more courage. ‘’ Tell Misora.

‘’ Oh Misora… ‘’ Thought Subaru with a smile.

Harp came out of the guitar and appears right beside Warrock. The two denpa beings thought they were left out by their owners and decided to interrupt their conversation.

‘’ Hey kid. Aren’t you suppose to help your musical girlfriend with her song? ‘’ Ask Warrock.

‘’ Oh! Sorry you guys. We were deep with our conversation. ‘’ Answer Subaru.

‘’ Don’t worry too much Subaru. Warrock and I are going somewhere while you’re going to help Misora finding lyrics for her song. We will return when you two are finish together. ‘’ Said Harp has the two denpa beings disappear somewhere but not too far. They decide to watch their owners at the wave road.

‘’ Well now that Harp and Warrock are gone. How about we sit by the tree over there so we can begin our search for lyrics. ’’ Suggest Misora.

‘’ Great idea. ‘’ Happily answer Subaru and the two kids goes sitting by the trees.

‘’ Ok, then help me out Subaru! ‘’ Announce Misora.

‘’ Yeah! ‘’ Answer Subaru.

Misora takes from her pocket a pencil and a writer block to mark the lyrics. She put them not too far from her. ‘’ Ok I will begin playing the melody. ‘’ The singer reach her guitar and play. Subaru listen carefully to the melody.

‘’ I think it a happy song. ‘’ Tell Subaru.

‘’ Could be but we will know for sure once we found the lyrics needed. I believe we need six lyrics to complete the song and the first verse should starts of fast! ‘’ Explain Misora.

‘’ So it starts of fast.‘’ Said Subaru.

‘’ I’m sure with our two minds combine. We will found the rightful verse. ‘’ Tell Misora.

Then both Subaru and Misora began to think hard. Ten minute after. The boy declare having a idea for the first verse of the song.

‘’ I got something. ‘’

‘’ Ok I’m all ears. ‘’ Said happily Misora.

‘’ I think you should began the song with we get up and run, run! That seem faster for me. ‘’ Tell Subaru.

Misora took Subaru’s idea in her mind. Try to link up the first verse in her song. With a happy face she said. ‘’ You did it Subaru. It’s finally coming along now! ‘’ Her happiness made Subaru smile but, it wasn’t over. One verse found. Five to go. The duo continue to found the remaining verse to complete the song. Meanwhile at Roppondou hills city. The unhappy class president and her two lackeys disembark the bus. Without any second to waste. Luna began giving orders to her troops.

‘’ Ok you two. You know the situation so our mission is to catch that bad egg Subaru and ruins his date with Misora. He is not escaping the huge lecture from me after he gain some personal information from my secret diary. ‘’

Kizamaro however was septic about the class president situation.

‘’ But Prez. How can Subaru look at your diary? It’s impossible for him to gain access to your star carrier since you’re always carrying it.‘’

Luna feels then Kizamaro is suspicious about her motive and gave him an evil grin to keep him quiet. The tiny nerds didn’t say a word after that to avoid any dispute with her.

‘’ I wonder how much Subaru knows about the Prez secret? ‘’ Ask Gonta.

The class president felt quite embarrass about Gonta’s question and gave him a even more darker grin to make the muscle of the team very quiet. Now then her two lackeys can’t have any doubt about her motive. She spook about her plan to trap Subaru.

‘’ Now you two. Time to proceed with my plan. Gonta, Kizamaro, You two are going searching for that bad egg at the shopping center. He is presently with Misora while I going to look for them at the movie theater. ‘’

Gonta complains about Luna’s plan.

‘’ To the movie theater!? That unfair for us Prez. You’re going to eat pop corn while we’re doing the dirty work. ‘’

‘’ Are you questioning my order Gonta? ‘’ Ask Luna with a sour mood.

‘’ No. ‘’ Answer Gonta.

‘’ Good. Now I send you two on your search and Kizamaro. Make sure Gonta doesn’t slow the mission by eating at a restaurant. This is a pressing matter got it. ‘’ Said Luna.

‘’ Got it Prez. ‘’ Hardly said Kizamaro has they leave their leader behind.

‘’ I wonder if Subaru is going to reveal some spicy secret from Prez for us. ‘’ Ask Gonta.

‘’ And I think our leader is completely disillusioned. I mean how could Subaru could ever watch her star carrier? It doesn’t make any sense. I wish Prez doesn’t found him. It a complete waste of time. ‘’ Answer Kizamaro. Has the duo makes their way to the shopping center following by Luna who goes straight at the movies. Back at Vista point. Misora getting more happier. Subaru found four other lyrics that fit well in her song.

‘’ You’re great Subaru. We are now at the last verse. ‘’

‘’ And I thought it’s going to be hard. ‘’ Said Subaru.

‘’ I guess we were lucky. Normally it’s could take us a great amount of time founding those lyrics. Imagine we tries thirty words and none of them fit in my song. It’s a nightmare but all credit goes to you Subaru. You’re a big help. ‘’ Explain Misora.

‘’ Thanks. ‘’ Happily said Subaru.

‘’ Now for the end. I was thinking adding one of my brother. ‘’ Said Misora.

‘’ I guess I know the answer for that one. Me! ‘’ Answer Subaru.

‘’ You guess it. Then we’re done! It’s great! Let’s sing it together! It’s Subaru’s song. ‘’ Announce Misora with such happiness.

‘’ Ok! But I might be a little off so I try my best not to mess up with the song. ‘’ Tell Subaru.

And for the first time. Subaru and Misora in a duo performance. They sang the song.

We get up and run, run! Swing those hips around! Make it glad, glad, glad! Take’em off and shout! Run,run! It’s so fun! Subaru!

After the song. Misora close her eyes with a smile on her face and say. ‘’ For a brother who means a lot to me. It’s Subaru’s song. We wrote together a great song! ‘’ Once she open her eyes. She saw Subaru blushing. ‘’ You know. You do sing well. We should sing together more often. ‘’

‘’ T-Thanks. ‘’ Answer nervously Subaru. Has the sky change his color of dusk into the color of night and the star came into display.

‘’ Misora. How about we head toward the observatory deck? ‘’ Demand Subaru.

‘’ I guess it time for us to go star gazing upon the sky together. ‘’ Answer Misora.

While they headed toward the observatory deck. The two Denpa being Harp and Warrock weren’t the only spectator. A bunch of Denpa-kun came to see the hot date.

‘’ Oh my! Aren’t they popular? ‘’ Said Harp.

‘’ Ha! It reminds me of their last hot date they had together. A Denpa-kun got his body burn just because he saw the whole scene. Subaru had to go search for an item to cool that Denpa-kun off. In a way. It was funny. ‘’ Explain Warrock.

‘’ Seeing these two singing was something wonderful to watch. ‘’ Tell Harp.

‘’ Yeah it was something quite entertaining. ‘’ Seriously said Warrock.

The two aliens alongside with all the other Denpa-kun keep on watching the hot date. Meanwhile at the Roppondou hills movie theater. Luna was at the exit waiting for her prey to come out from his hiding place. She seems also nervous about something else. Giving a big lecture to Subaru for invading her privacy wasn’t the only thing she was concern about. Since she was unable to enter because the room was full, she worries about Subaru and Misora kissing each other while watching a romantic movie. The truth is that Luna was extremely jealous of Misora due to the fact she was always close to Subaru’s heart. The class president views that as unfair since she was first to see Rockman. When the blue bomber made is declaration that he would protect Luna. It was love at first sight for her but to Megaman however. It was his way to repay her since the power of star force is unlock when the warrior chosen by the three-satellite administrator had a desire to protect friends who are important to him. When Luna gave her faith and support once more to the blue bomber in order to control the tribe Oopart within him. Later on, she admits more feelings to Subaru while he thought at trusting her to rescue the others. The only times Luna thought Subaru had more feelings toward Misora than her was around the time when he goes on a rescuing mission at the Bermuda Labyrinth to free Misora. He came back truly injure and the singer was in a critical condition. The class president sends Gonta and Kizamaro to keep an eye on Misora while she had Subaru for herself to watch. Has the boy awake. Luna asks if he remembers something. The first thing that was on Subaru’s mind was Misora. The boy was worried sick about the condition of the girl due to the torture given by Bly. At this very instant. The class president realizes how much Misora was truly important to Subaru. It was frustrating for her. She tries everything to gain the love of the hero she idolizes but his heart belongs to the singer. When would be the time she leaves the couple alone? Only the future would tell but right now, she’s not ready to gave up. Still standing at the exit, lock on ready toward her target to come. Soon, Gonta and Kizamaro join her with negative result on their search.

‘’ So I guess you haven’t found him. Guess we have no choice but to wait here together until he comes out. ‘’ Tell the class president.

‘’ Can I have some pop corn. I hungry. ’’ Ask Gonta.

‘’ NO! ’’ Answer Luna.

Has people begun to leave the room. The trio concluded then the movie had ended. They were standing ready for catching Subaru but, the boy never show up. The class president show her wrath has their plan came a failure.

‘’ WHERE HE IS HIDING!? ‘’

Luna made quite a scene when thing doesn’t go the way she wanted and became a perfect target for several air displays to annoy her with their publicities.

‘’ GET OUT OF MY FACE YOU ANNOYING MACHINE! I DON’T WANT TO BUY SOME JEWELRY OR SOME LOW RATED FOOD FROM THOSE RESTAURANTS. ‘’

Then one of the air display show a publicity from the history museum.

‘’ WHY WOULD I WANT TO GO WASTE MY TIME THERE!? ‘’ but she stop and think. ‘’ Wait a second. Subaru love to study. There’s perhaps a little chance of founding them here. ‘’ She order her two goons about their next move. ’’ Ok you two. It’s time we move toward IFL tower’s history museum and we’re gonna make it quick before Subaru and Misora leave. ‘’

The team move toward the IFL tower for a chance to catch their prey but,
they still have no idea They’ve been trap by Subaru to prevent them to disturb his precious moment with Misora. Back at Vista point. The clear sky showed a wonderful set of bright stars for the couple to enjoy the view. Both Subaru and Misora admire the beautiful scenery.

‘’ Wow There’s a lot of bright stars tonight and they’re all beautiful. ‘’ Said Misora.

‘’ Yeah! And Cassiopeia is still the brightest as always. ‘’ Tell Subaru.

‘’ Who’s Cassiopeia? Is she a girl? ‘’ Ask the singer.

Subaru knew she would ask him that question. The boy had a huge knowledge about space than any normal kids. He was happy to give the singer an explanation about Cassiopeia since that topic was his specialty.

‘’ Actually Misora. Cassiopeia is a constellation in the northern sky. She’s easily recognizable by her five bright stars. ‘’ Explain Subaru.

‘’ Were could I see these five bright stars? ‘’ Ask Misora.

The boy point his finger toward those stars in question.

‘’ Wow! It’s true. She’s got five brightest stars and it’s form a crown when connected together. ‘’ Said the singer. Subaru continue is explanation.

‘’ That’s right Misora. Nice remark. She does form a crown with the five other stars. You know in Greek mythology. Cassiopeia was considered to represent a beautiful vain queen but don’t confuse that constellation with Ophiuchus Queen. We’re not at the Ophiuchus constellation. ‘’

Misora laughs with joy at Subaru’s comparison between the constellation and the FM snake lady.

You’ve got a great sense of humor Subaru and I like when you explain thing to me. I feel like I learn something new today. ‘’ Subaru began to blush at Misora compliment has she continue. ‘’ You are indeed the son of a famous astronaut. You know your space stuff quite well. ‘’

‘’ Th-Thanks. ‘’ Nervously said Subaru.

Misora reach her pocket to take a wave battle card.

‘’ Here! This is my reward for helping me with my song. ‘’

Subaru took the card.

‘’ A recover 300 but that’s a powerful healing card. Misora why are you giving me this? ‘’

Suddenly the singer feels sad and thought then Subaru didn’t like the reward she just gave. It’s didn’t take any second for the boy to notice a tear coming from her eyes. Subaru was confused to the reaction of the girl. The reward was great but perhaps he shouldn’t have questioned her about that. Trying to found a way to ease her sadness. Without thinking, he hugs softly Misora. The girl feels the warn in the boy’s arms. With a soft voice, the boy spoke.

‘’ I’m sorry Misora. I honestly didn’t wanted to hurt you with that question. It’s a great reward and I will take it. What I wanted to ask is why you’re giving me a powerful healing card? Is there something that still troubling you? ‘’

‘’ Yeah, something back at the Bermuda triangle. ‘’ Answer Misora.

Subaru knew what was troubling her. The event that took place in that curse floating continent was a heavy burden for the signer. The boy didn’t wanted to see her down like that and tries his best to ease her pain.

‘’ Misora you‘re still thinking about what you’ve done back at the Bermuda Labyrinth?
But, why are you still feeling guilty despite the fact it’s wasn’t your fault. ‘’

‘’ Sometimes I believe then I don’t deserve you Subaru. What I’ve done was horrible. I betray you, attack you, saying mean thing, breaking our brother band and worse, I allow Dr Orihime to obtain the three Ooparts. It was entirely my fault. ‘’ Answer Misora.

After telling everything she kept on her mind. The girl cried. Subaru understood her pain and ease her by giving a warmer effect to his hug and he continues the discussion.

‘’ Misora, you don’t have to blame yourself. It’s wasn’t entirely your fault. You wanted to protect me from a powerful opponent. It wasn’t helpful but you did show me something. ‘’

‘’ What did I show you Subaru? ‘’ Ask Misora.

‘’ You showed me how much you care for me. We possess an incredible strong bond than Gonta, Kizamaro and especially Luna can’t have with me. Together we knew our strength and weakness. Her pain ease quite fast and she begin to show a smile but since the topic was about the event of the continent of Mu. He had a confession to make to the girl. ‘’ Misora.
